PEOPLE WITH A VIEW There are several reasons the flower bulb and perennial market has been changing the past few years. We were all confronted with these changes, but the past is history, we learned from it and are now facing the future. The future looks good to us and that is the reason we have invested in rebuilding a major portion of the offices in Lisse. The offices and warehouses are located in the center of the bulb district in Holland. During the spring flowering season, our people have an excellent view of the flowering fields from the second floor. These are people with a view literally. These are also people with a vision of the future of our industry. The new offices stand as a symbol of the confidence we have in the future. No one can predict the future, but we can certainly help shape it. Besides offering high quality products, we want to continue to provide you, and future customers, with more and better information on how to get the best results with the products supplied by De Vroomen. Other people with a view in the company are the nursery workers who spend most of the time outdoors in the fields. They have a great view of the scenic bulb district and also a view of the developing growing market. For many years we used to mainly grow Hosta, Hemerocallis and Paeonia but a number of years ago we saw a changing market, and together with our nursery crew we looked at other products that we should be growing, in addition to the previous mentioned crops. Since many perennials require different conditions and handling, we started with small crops of different plants liks Sedum, Anemone, Heuchera and other crops. After getting involved with these different crops we realized that our nursery fields work well to grow many different crops. Since then, we have added many other crops to the mix and we were able to acquire a few more fields around us so we could expand the nursery. Because of the constant changing market we need to keep looking at different ways of improving product and providing better service. In order to stay on top of these tasks we rely on People with a View.

LATEST NEWS Our 2009 Perennial catalog is out!!! Our 2009 perennial catalog is ready and we are proud to present the completely redesigned catalog. The pictures are now together with the plant information. We have also added a number of new plants including some exclusive plants, Astilbe Younique series. We also made some adjustments to our Dahlia offerings by adding 6 varieties from the Karma series.
